AMS Penile Implants

If your doctor has diagnosed you with physical erectile dysfunction (ED), and more conservative treatments have not worked, American Medical Systems (AMS) has a product line of penile implants designed for you.

Penile prostheses have an excellent satisfaction rate for both men and their partners. And since the devices are completely hidden within the body, there’s no way to tell just from looking at a man that he has an implant.

AMS has a family of penile implants, including penile pumps, that can give you control over your sex life again. Implants do not change the sensation of sex, orgasm, or ejaculations.

Types of AMS penile implants include:

AMS 700 Momentary Squeeze (MS) Penile Prosthesis. The AMS 700 series is a three-part inflatable penis pump made of silicone elastomers that expands and becomes rigid like a natural erection and also deflates to a comfortable flaccid state. There are three pumps in the 700 series, the AMS 700 CX (controlled girth expansion) the AMS 700 LGX (controlled girth and length expansion) and the AMS 700 CXR (narrower model for scarred, stenotic or fibrotic patients).

AMS Ambicor. This is a two-piece inflatable model that includes cylinders implanted in the penis and a pump concealed in the scrotum. A squeeze and release pump inflates for an erection, and bending the penis provides simple deflation.

AMS Spectra. The Spectra is a malleable, non-inflatable penile implant which is an excellent option for men with limited dexterity. Two cylinders are implanted in the penis, and the organ is then positioned up for an erection and down for concealment.
